Speech of Introduction
Your first speech effort is
going to be a speech in which you
introduce yourself to the
rest of the group. You may use a
sheet of paper to write out
your information and bring it to
class.
You
will be graded on these things:
Stopping before you start to
speak and looking at the
audience,
Poise,
Enough volume to be heard,
Stopping after you finish.
You might begin with “Class my name is…” and end with what
makes you unique. The entire
presentation should take about 2
to 3 minutes. This is part
of your participation grade and is
worth 10 points.
Your
speech should include but not be limited to the
following:
Name

Family (This may be Mother and Father or Wife and
children)
Job
Hobbies
Interests

those played and watched)

Where will you be in ten years
What would you
do with a million dollars
What you would
do if you were President
Other questions
that you can think of that will
let us you better.
Lastly, you have
to decide and tell us what makes
you unique.
(It could be that you are
very friendly, have an interesting
hobby or job, lived or visited unique place, etc.
